About the Programme
The SSHI Research Fellow Programme was established to strengthen research capacity among young health professionals and promote the use of data-driven insights in public health. The programme aligns with SSHI’s mission to foster knowledge, innovation, and leadership in health development.
SSHI has a strong record of mentoring young health leaders through workshops, debates, and peer research projects. This fellowship builds on that tradition by preparing participants to contribute meaningfully to health research and policy.

Programme Structure
The six-week training covers:
Research fundamentals and SSHI framework
Research design and methodology
Scientific writing and manuscript development
Referencing, ethics, and peer review
Journal selection and publication preparation
Presentation and feedback sessions
Each participant completes the programme with a well-developed manuscript ready for submission to a peer-reviewed journal.
